Question on weather we crafters get involved...

Do we as crafters if we are clanned or freelance, get involved in the politics that we hope get left at door when people come to forums ?...if clan A "wardecs" clan B, are we all going to stay out of it an still inter trade between ourselves. Or will Crafters A an B get shutout until their stuff is sorted? Obviously clans are not going to want you trading between yourselves an the clans enemy's.

So do we all keep trading "quietly" between ourselves even if our respective clans are at war, or do we all back fof an shut each other out for the duration

I think freelances will be relatively free to do as they wish. It will really depend on the clan and your personal relationship/reputation with them I would assume. As for clanned crafters - I think I will stay out of it!

As far as trading I suspect independents won't be affected, for the clanned ones, their call but if they were in my clan and traded with the enemy they better not get caught .

I just hope that folks manage to keep the clan politics out of the website. I'm sure there will be lots of sites for 'Official Wardecs" ala Eve and other sites. A little smack talk is one thing but the endless blather of 'You only won because you're a zerg", "You only won because you cheat" blah blah makes me want to grab a stick and smack some sense into them.

In the trade union proposal I had there's no restrictions where war's concerned. If two clans are in the union they're free to be at war. The only limit is no repeated targetting/killing of crafters by one clan of another clan without declaring war (either in game or within the union if wardecs are too *painful* in game).

As far as War goes, like in EVE logistics will chew up crafters big time, they will become a "first strike"target if you will.That is why I think ALL crafters should still keep trading "personally" between each other, even if their respective clans are at war. (Just don't tell anyone) an DONT use the forum as a war supply depo on the cheap

I am a clan crafter for many reasons: safety, teammember, free supplies and gold to craft. (pvp clanmates forage and donate to crafter fund) Crafters are needed by people and at least my clan understands better crafters = better power.

I will not put put this personally preferred status in peril. I will not trade my craft goods with enemies. I am in the game for a team, not as a moneymonger.
