I know it can be scary for groups like this to grow too quickly, but should we be looking at inviting some of the crafting-focused clans to post a PR spot on here, or add a few of their members to help get some inter-clan relations happening? In which case, we should also look at finding a ship-building/anti-pirate clan too. I don't really know many of the clans out there, but I won't start openly advertising until a few of you say yae or nae. I have put a few posts up asking individuals to PM if they seem interested in this stuff though.

I don't see why not. I'm going to go out on a limb and say (at this time) the DMA isn't and more than likely won't be a Guild/Clan. However we certainly encourage and warmly welcome those that have gone that route. If The game mechanics indicate that it would be useful to do so. . . . We may take that step after it's release.
For now, It's a networking group to bring the worlds crafters together for their mutual gain. The more to interact with, the more resources at our disposal.
Perhaps I'll work up a mission statement tonight.

Re, if you need help with the forum later on as it grows, I am more than happy to help out, I was a SYSOP for 9 years in chat rooms an at 41 I am a little past the petty self interests thing. I don't anger very easily lol

Thanks Belthize for the link and invite info. I've talked to a few of the other crafters I have been in contact with and we were all looking for something like this. Being able to discuss crafting tips and haggle in an out of game setting makes it much easier and safer to do business. I have 10+ yrs of mmo crafting experience and have always relied on out of game trade boards for those extra opportunity's.
I've passed the link to a few of the crafters in my clan and pm'd a couple other guys with it that are not in my clan. Hope this isn't a problem; The more good traders active on the site....the more business and opportunities for everyone involved.

at 41 I am a little past the petty self interests thing. I don't anger very easily lol I knew there was a reason I liked you ... 41 myself and pretty much view the world the same way. Glad you made it over Maz. By all means spread the word to other crafters. If each person tells 2 people it'll grow like fire. Beyond just not enough people, clan crafters and harvesters are still very under represented. Thorsen Belthize

Agreed. Tell whomever you see fit to join us! It has worked for the DFO devs so far, hopefully it can work for us!

Nakah everyone! I've been having a sniff around and I must say, this is a great resource you're setting up here. Cheers to all who started this. I've put out the word around the glades of my clan. Hopefully a few of our artisans and tradesmen will wander over soon. I look forward to making many profitable deals with you all in the future! Kna snara a naaar!Edit: Oh, by the way, I accidentally registered with a lower-case 'a' at the start of my name. Would it be possible to change it to 'Ashka' instead? Edit again: Nevermind! I figured it out .

A Mahirim approaches wearing a leather vest with many posits you see saw dust in his fur. Greetings I am Frosth Vaser Shipwright. I am the shipwright of The Sundered Guard. My Matron Ashka has all ready introduced herself. I will be in the market for massive amounts of lumber and have a good stock of ships for sail to the public. The best products and prices are reserved for friends of TSG but I will sell to any one who TSG is not at war with

Another Mahirim approaches as well driving a small wagon full of all sorts of materials for use in crafting anything you can dream up. "aroo nere Wolvyn. I trade materials that Shipwright Frosth and our other Hearth members do not need. Our matron Ashka has kindly pointed the way to this nice little inn, if you need help with expanding in durring the next eight moons I offer I disagreeistance." "Have you thought of posting a flyer up in the taproom of the inn called DFCrafters.com? I know tiss a strange name to be callin an inn, but there was a nice one in Telon called VGCrafters I hear it was a popular place. " ________________________ Speaking of telling two people Ashka told us and both Frosth and I showed up the same day. ((OOC wise a tad bit about myself. I play these games to harvest, and harvest and harvest.. and hunt a little bit. Zork was my first pc game, ive played or tested most everything thats come out since that aint sport related. Towards the end of summer I am joining the Francisian's but until then I play to be splitting my time betwix Agon and EvE, mostly in Agon though.. So if any of my services are needed, feel free to ask. )

A merging would be nice but possibly impractical. I hung about VGcrafters quite a bit as (Thorsen) Belthize. I've been wondering how many crafters we'd get from there since VG crafting is a lot more in depth than DF's. Thorsen Belthize I'd talked to Pylor some months back about setting up forums on his site. Looks like they were created hours after DFMerchants .. probably triggered by the same CD discussion.

Do you know much about DFCrafters Thorsen? I have visited their forum (and sent the admin a PM), but I was barely able to find what their forum's plans and goals were.

Greetings, I'm from Darkfall Crafters and just found out about this site. I'm glad to see that there is plenty of interest in the crafting aspect of Darkfall. I have visited their [DF Crafter's] forum (and sent the admin a PM), but I was barely able to find what their forum's plans and goals were. The primary goal of Darkfall Crafters is to collect and display information that concerns crafting in Darkfall. The forum is meant to support that goal by serving as a place where crafters and related professions (resource gatherers, traders etc) can share and discuss their experience. As such the forum is not an essential part of DFC, rather it was created because of the demand for a place to discuss crafting (and I was not aware of any other place where that could be done until an hour ago). I have no desire for two competing general crafting/trading forums so I will gladly discuss possible solutions with Recneps. I'd talked to Pylor some months back about setting up forums on his site. Looks like they were created hours after DFMerchants .. probably triggered by the same CD discussion. It was triggered by the feedback e-mails sent, yours in particular. The timing was simply due to not having the time to set it up earlier (i.e. in the middle of December).
